ZyMōt Multi (850uL) - How it works (Animated)
How does the ZyMōt Sperm Separation Device work? There’s an inlet port, an outlet port and a membrane. 850μL of raw semen is injected into the inlet port. The sample travels into the lower portion of the device, underneath a membrane that has 8 micron (μm) pores. You place fertilization media on top of the membrane. During incubation, the most progressively motile sperm migrate through the pores into the fresh media above. They leave behind the less motile, morphologically abnormal sperm. What is collected from above the membrane are the healthiest, most genomically competent sperm.
Whether for ICSI or IUI use, there is no need for any centrifugation of the sample, either before or after device usage. No special media is needed either – use what you normally use in your lab’s workflow.
Simple. Natural. Effective. That's the #ZyMōtDifference.
